Broccoli-Cauliflower Gratin

  • 2 packages fresh broccoli and cauliflower flowerets - the 16 ounce size
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise 
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese 
  • 1 (3-ounce) package shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon style mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned breadcrumbs 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish.
  3. Cover the flowerets and steam over boiling water for 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. 
  4. Drain well.
  5. Arrange flowerets in the prepared baking dish. 
  6. Stir together mayonnaise and next 5 ingredients. 
  7. Spoon over flowerets. 
  8. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden.
