Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 
  2. Grease and flour 2 layer cake pans or a 9x13 inch pan. 
  3. Sift together the flour, cocoa, soda and salt. 
  4. Cream together the sugar, mayonnaise, water and vanilla. 
  5. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture; stir until well blended. 
  6. Pour batter into prepared cake pans. 
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes. 
  8. Let cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
